Urban exploration, better known as Urbex, consists of exploring man-made structures that are abandoned or that the public cannot access, either because they are closed off or hidden.

Many Urbex pictures end up becoming of the documentary-type as they present the memory of a memory; photos of a variety of places which had already been long abandoned before ceasing to exist.
